Will Scobie

This business card refers you to the online portfolio of graphic illustrator Will Scobie. Will produces fun and unusual illustration for design companies, advertising agencies, and diverse clients across the globe.
The card is a weighty Colorplan duplex 540gsm. The front is Pristine White, letterpress printed in a rich black ink and the reverse is the beautiful Adriatic Blue, uncoated and unprinted, tranquil, yet energising.

Green Fuse

Magic weather today - the postie thought we'd turned into a garden centre and a few passers-by stopped to admire our colourful primula. Planted up some coriander, parsley, chives and basil in a wicker wheel - follow their progress this season.
Inside, we were happy to letterpress print a fine array of wildflowers on a carefully prepared bed of Colorplan 540gsm, Natural.

Beard

We enjoyed letterpress printing business cards for Beard. Designer, Rob March gave us an insight into the design concept and the role of the business card.  Thanks Rob!

My business cards are often the only thing that I will leave behind with a potential client, so I wanted to make sure I had something that was memorable.
I wanted the cards to be clean, with the focus on the typography on one side and my brand icon on the other, as I want the icon to be recognisable without any words associated with it. To give the cards a lovely tactile feel, I chose a duplex of Bright White and Pistachio from GF Smith's Colorplan range, both in 270gsm.
I asked Glasgow Press to make sure that the block would bite into the board slightly, to leave a nice impression, but without showing through, and I'm thrilled with the results. The cards are exactly what I wanted and have already won me work, so I couldn't be happier! Glasgow Press did a fantastic job and I can't wait to use them again in the future

Letterhead

Yes, emails are fine, but letters are better. This letterhead is a crisp Colorplan 135gsm, weighty but fine and just the right communication to show you are the business.
Designed by Graphical House for Canvas Qualitative Research, we letterpress printed the text in two colours of ink and blind debossed the logo. Pass the stamps please.

Milky Tea

Milky Tea is a complete on demand digital illustration, animation and interactive production resource, and this is their radiant business card.
Designed by Smiling Wolf, the iridescent silver foil is applied to a soft, chunky Dark Grey Colorplan 700gsm. The gleam of rainbow colour is subtle but eyecatching.

Tools of the Trade

We were pleased that so many of you shared photos of That's Impressive as it landed through your letter box. Many of the pics featured immaculate keyboards in the background - the tools of your trade perhaps?
The colourful printed postcards looked so charming that we decided to feature a few of them here.

And then we decided to add our own arrangement on the office typewriter. Clickety click - not always a high speed connection though.

ngd Agency

ngd Agency has written an interesting post on the art of saying hello with good business card design.
This graphic design and branding agency practise what they preach, evidenced by their own recently letterpress printed business cards.
Neville Godwin is particular about design and quality and chose Colorplan 700gsm board in order to achieve a deep impression to both sides of the card. Rich black and bright red ink make a bold statement on pristine white and this card is bound to stand out from the rest with bright red edge painting.

That's Impressive

It's been such a lot of fun creating this beautiful set of letterpress printed postcards, wrapped in a bellyband, stamped with a poptastic wax seal and encased in a fuchsia, fabric embossed wallet.
Thanks to Kerr Vernon for his magical, musical design and to everyone at Glasgow Press who brought the project to reality with the same care and attention afforded to every design that passes through our hands. Thanks to the bands for the music and GF Smith for the fine paper. Get yourself a copy here and thank you for all your kind comments!
